Conference Speaker Keegan

Keegan had the opportunity to teach at the Youth group on Sunday afternoon. We had a time of worship, games and the Word. He did a great job. We joked with him, saying that he looks like he should be speaking at Murrieta Conference Center.

Sunday Morning Service and Lunch

Sunday morning we had a blast leading in Worship and sharing in the Word. The body at Iloilo are so wonderful. In the bottom right picture are Nicky and Ivan. They are planning to go on a missions trip in May, please keep them in your prayers. After Service, many of us went to lunch and had chicken BBQ. The fellowship was sweet.

College group at CCIloilo

Saturday evening, College groups from all over Iloilo gather at the church and they have a Bible College. It was a blessing for us to be a part of that night. Right away their group clicked with the Bible College students. It told them the best thing about the Philippines are the people. Now they know what I meant. We all fell in love with eachother.

Mango's galore!

Right now Mangos are in season in the PI, and we are reaping the benefits. They are so inexpensive, around 25 yen or .25 cents each. They are the sweetest mangos you will ever eat. In fact, the best mangos come from this area of Iloilo from Guimaras Island. We have been eating so many, they are the best.

First Jeep-nie ride

When we first arrived in Iloilo. Pastor Mark and the crew from CCIloilo picked us up in this sweet ride. The Jeep-nie in the Philippines is the choice way to get around. You can pack a lot of people in them and get to where you want to go fast. We were so blessed to see everyone from the church in Iloilo again. The ride cost about 14 yen or .14 cents per person.

Pastor Tom and Zach

We had dinner in Iloilo at this sweet restaurant. We had BBQ Chicken, pork, garlic rice, pancit, and Mango shakes. The food in the PI is really good, and reasonable. It is a real blessing to be on a missions trip with Zach again. Our last one together was in Samoa back in "02". Zach was 12 back then. Please keep the whole team in your prayers. God bless you, Pastor Tommy

On our way to Iloilo!

We had to fly out of Manila early on our way to Iloilo. We flew Cebu Pacific Airlines, and the plane was awesome! It was brand new! The airport check in was kind of hectic, but everything worked out fine. Believe me, you get these guys on a airplane and they become wild creatures. It is a blessing hanging out with them.

We made it! Manila, Philippines

We arrived safely in Manila, and we were picked up by Ed from "New Tribes Missions". Gerson, knows a family from Germany who works for NTM, his name is Konrad (bottom left picture). NTM has a wonderful missions center as well as a great missions house, where we were able to stay the night. We were blessed with great hospitality, and we met new brothers and sisters in Christ, doing the Lord's work. That night, we headed out and saw parts of the city, as well as, you guessed it, went to "Jollybee's". Jollybees is a type of a Philippino McDonald's, they have great icecream (upper left picture). We were so blessed with Ed and Deb, he drived all the way to the Airport to pick us up. The Lord is going to bless them mightily (center picture). In the upper right hand picture is our sweet paddywagon that Ed picked us up in. We were so blessed.

We made it! - Half ways

Well, it was a short flight from Okinawa to Taipai. From Taipai Taiwan, we fly into Manila which is the capital of the Philippines. We will stay one night in Manila and then take a 50 minute flight into Iloilo. We are blessed with this opportunity to serve the Lord.

Philippines Bound!

Hello everyone! The Bible College Students are on their way to the Philippines. Every semester the students have to head out on a missions trip. It fullfills two purposes. First, we get the opportunity to travel to different places in Asia ministering the Gospel, and second, we are able to renew our visas. Japan only allows the students to stay 90 days, and then, they have to fly out of the country. So, we are blessed this semester to visit our brothers and sisters in Iloilo. We will be on this missions trip for 5 days. Please keep us in your prayers. God bless you, Pastor Tommy

Cake, Cake Cake

We had a great dinner for Hannah, and afterwards we had a big cafe. Hannah got a 5 pound bag of gummy bears from Vunder, and she wanted a Basketball from the family. We have a new park located next to us, and it has a great basketball court. Happy Birthday Hannah!

Hannah's Birthday Lunch!

Yesterday was Hannah's Birthday, so I had the opportunity to take her out to lunch. It was a Father Daughter kind of thing. We had a blast. It was fun when the workers sang her "happy birthday". I can hardly believe it, Hannah is now 14 years old. When you get a chance, please leave her a birthday greeting below. God bless you Hannah, Dad!

Meet Chaplain Margaret

Sunday night at w2 Worship/Word, Joe Tipton invited one of his friends. Joe was walking and playing with his dogs Sunday afternoon and met Margaret. He invited her to w2 and she came. Margaret is a Chaplain in the United States Navy and is here in Okinawa for a week of training. She is one of many Chaplains who serve on a Naval Ship. It was such a blessing to talk with her and spend some time fellowshipping after the service. Pictured above (from left to right) is Dan Pallmann, Margaret and Pastor Tim. When you think of the Navy and especially the Naval Chaplains, please keep Margaret in your prayers.

Passion Week - "Who is Jesus?"

Photo Sharing - Upload Video - Video Sharing - Share Photos

Easter is April 8th and we are celebrating Passion Week April 1st - 8th. You might be wondering "what is passion week". Well the Bible gives us insight on what Jesus did the last week that He was on the face of this earth. Starting from the Triumphal entry into Jerusalem you can follow Jesus footsteps all the way to the Cross and then the Resurrection. Pastor Tom Hallman from Virginia as well as Pastor Tony Clark and Pastor Gil Garcia will be in Okinawa teaching during this week. We are holding a special Good Friday service at the Ganeko Community Center and showing the "Passion of the Christ" in Japanese. We are calling this Passion week "Who is Jesus". We are outreaching specifically to the Okinawan Japanese people who have never heard of Jesus Christ. Please keep us in your prayers. Double click on the video above to see it. God bless you all, Pastor Tommy

Calvary Hagerman Valley

God is so awesome! Some of you might remember Dion Douville and his family (left picture). Dion was with us at CCLivingwater for many years before the Lord led him out to Idaho to plant the Church in Hagerman Valley. God is doing so many wonderful things out there. Not only is the church growing but they have been doing so much remodeling. They remodeled the church sanctuary, the downstairs, and even Dion remodeled their house. Some of you might remember the front of Dion's house. He totally changed it and refaced it with log cabin planks. He changed everything (bottom middle picture). The top center picture is of the youth group in Hagerman Valley. When you think of Idaho, remember the Douville's and keep them and Calvary Chapel Hagerman Valley in your prayers. God bless you all, Pastor Tommy

Sea Kelp Shop

Right behind the Bible College building there is a processing plant that sells Okinawan Sea Kelp. You heard right, Sea Kelp. Supposibly it is real heathy for you. I know that seaweed is good for you and tastes good too. But I don't know about sea kelp. I think of seals swimming between this stuff in the ocean. I was so amazed as we walked a few buildings in back of us, and saw these ladies working. We had Tamiko with us and we went and talked with them. They were really friendly and allowed us to take pictures. Most people in Okinawa are so friendly.
