Saturday night we had a BBQ at my dad's house in Norco. The Japanese Pastor's were there for this event. We cooked up some pork ribs and chicken. It was a bummer because Rick had to catch a flight back to Reno to hook up with Christy and the kids. We really missed Rick and too bad he had to leave. It was fun hanging out and relaxing.

The guys at Calvary Living Water had a men's breakfast Saturday morning and they asked Zach if he would share the message for that morning. It was a blessing to see all of the men and hear from the Word through Zach, he did a great job.

Friday night the SOM at Costa Mesa had their graduation ceremony for the students. The students from SOM in Korea were there for this great event. It was a blessing seeing old friends again. The only guy who was missing was Mike Loudermilk back in Korea, but someone has to take care of the ministry. Congratulations guys, we are so proud of you.

We had an extra surprise the other day. He received a phone call from Kayla saying that she is in the area. For those of you who do not know Kayla, she attended the Bible College with us in Okinawa last semester. She is doing great, she just finished up her second semester at Murrieta and is heading back home to Louisiana. Check out here sweet ride in the upper left picture. Well, we love you Kayla, and it was great seeing you girl.

Trevor Juice

_bigruizes

This blog was taken straight out of Trevor's blog http://t-raysblog.blogspot.com. This is his juice word for word:

I just heard word that a couple of big guys who slimmed down incredibly in Okinawa are on the loose in California, eating everything in sight. Please pray that they would not bring famine to the land as they devour everything in their path!
Haha, I miss you guys already... God bless you as you spend time with each other and with family and others in the homeland! Hasn't Zach changed a lot since the OCSI days?
トミー、ザック、元気してる?カリフォルニアで食べ過ぎないでね!またこういう体形になって欲しくないからね!まぁ、なっても良いけど、今のほうは全然カッコいいから、向こうでも毎日運動してきてね!

A few weeks ago, Tim and Daniel had the opportunity to minister at an outreach. It was a big one, but they only wanted a small group to perform. So that means, Rob, Neely and Zach had to stay home and take care of the Fort in Ginowan city. They had a real blast, and most importantly, Jesus was Lifted Up.

Pastor Gregg Laurie

At the conference I was able to get this shot with Pastor Gregg. He just finished up his book "lost boy" where he tells of his testimony on how he came to know Jesus Christ. They also are in the process of making a movie about his life and we were able to see the rough draft of that movie. It was really good, it will touch many people's lives.

Prayer for the New Calvary's

DSC04275

DSC04274

Pastor Chuck today asked all of the Calvary's that have started in the last two years to stand up. Afterwards we laid hands on them and prayed for their churches. These two pictures are take of Pastor Dylan in Watsonville California, and Pastor Mike in Iwakuni Japan. It was a real blessing for all of us.

Pastor Ricky Ryan

DSC04273

DSC04272

Ricky Ryan pastors Calvary Chapel Santa Barbara in California. This guy is the ultimate in energy. He loves the Lord and loves people. He seems to be bubbling with the Holy Spirit. He said that he loves our group because we are always together and we always have snacks. He makes it a point to always come and talk with us. Well today, he walked by us and gave us two bags of candy (see picture above), Dove chocolates and Starbursts, yummy! As you can see, we were all happy.

Pastor Greg Laurie

DSC04271

Greg Laurie is one of my favorite Pastor's. In fact personally I feel that he is my Pastor. At a young age I gave my heart to Jesus Christ while attending his church (calvary chapel riverside, now Harvest Christian Fellowship). After I graduated from Bible College I began Pastoring in Corona. I modeled most everything I did by the way I remembered he did them. In Corona we taught systematically through the Bible, we did outreaches into the community. He is one of the greatest orators of our time. It was a blessed to be able to hear him speak again. His message was fabulous. Pastor Tommy

From Daniel's Blog - Homeless Outreach

One of our friends from Futenma Marine Base, Chase, runs a homeless ministry in two places, one in front of Gate 2 Kadena, and then one closer to a wharf by Kadena. I was blessed to go this week, and I led worship for the people and then Sosimo taught the Word, while Naoko translated (which was a first also...the people could hear the Word with no language barrier, what a blessing....thank the Lord for Naoko being ready to be used!) . It was a great time, giving them physical food, and then serving up the best type of food, spiritually God given food through His Word. Sosimo served them up a hot plate of the Gospel that day, and most of them had never heard it before. It was great to pray with them afterwards...please continue to pray for these outreaches we will try to do every Sunday afternoon...blessings! Daniel Sedota

Afterglow with the Pastor's

DSC04263

Tuesday night we had a time of seeking the Lord after the service. It was such a blessing hearing from the Lord with everyone who was there. God spoke to many of the Pastor's hearts. We are ready to bring vision and direction to our church body.

It's Josh's Birthday!

Our brother turned 17 today, can you believe it! God bless you Josh, keep going strong for the Lord. I don't know what you are eating but it looks interesting. Is that some kind of special Maine Dish? Well, when you get a chance please leave Josh a Birthday greeting below.

Calvary Chapel Senior Pastor's Conference

DSC04257

DSC04253

The Pastor's conference has begun and Mike Macintosh was the first speaker of the event. Pastor Mike is Chaplain Charlie Owens pastor (Charlie pastors Foster Chapel on base). He is a man of great vision and it was a blessing to hear his message and get encouraged in the Lord. Please pray for us that we would hear from the Lord and grow in the grace and mercy of Him.

Right time!

DSC04262

At the right place! We were hanging out at the resource center and Pastor Chuck came by. So we asked him for a picture. He looked at Travis and said "sure". Jerry, Tom Hallman and Mike Silva were all in different places, poor guys, they missed out in a good photo opportunity.

Pastor Raul Ries

DSC04261

Pastor Raul gave a wonderful workshop for us at the Pastor's conference. He encouraged us to raise up a next generation of believers. Travis was blown out of his mind. In the words of Pastor Travis "small kine fresh juice".

Who is this guy?

DSC04248

If you guessed Nate Blankenship's dad you are right! Yes, Nate's dad is here at the Pastor's Conference. Can you see the resemblance? Well if you can't you sure can hear it. Talking to Nate's dad is like talking to Nate, his voice and mannerisms are the same. Praise the Lord for a Godly Father like him.

Special Music - Evan Wickham

It is a blessing being here at the Pastor's Conference in Murrieta California. We were blessed today with Evan Wickham leading worship at the first session. This guy is really anointed. Please click on the video above and hear the music and see all of the Senior Pastor's in the Calvary Chapel movement. Not all of them are here, but definitely a majority of them. Also, I am sorry for the fast movements on the video.

Pastor's Reunion at Calvary Living Water

DSC04245

DSC04247

We have been blessed to be a part of the ministry here in Corona. Through this church we have been blessed to send out many men and women into the ministry. This is a get together of the many Pastor's that have been sent out of Living Water and some of our other Pastor friends. It was a good night of fellowship, food, the Word and Prayer.

Ministry at CC Los Alamitos

DSC04242

Pastor John invited us to come to his church and lead worship as well as teach for their Sunday morning service. It was a blessing to be there with John and the congregation at CCLA. For those of you who do not know, Mario will be moving back to Corona and again serving at CC Living Water after being a year with Pastor John at his Church. They are going to miss Mario, as Living Water will welcome our brother back to Corona.

The Duran Girls

DSC04241

DSC04237

We had the opportunity of ministering at CCLosAlamitos and we were able to see the girls again. They are going great. It was a blessing to spend the church service with them. Like we already knew, they miss Christina so much, but they are blessed to see and hear that the she is doing great.

Jetlag sets in

DSC04227

Asa was playing on the motorhome floor and he just passed out. You can see he was playing with his army men and just gave up. It is funny, usually Asa is going and going, but this time he just gave up. Jetlag always seems to be tougher flying back to America.

Biblical Preaching Class

Zach had the idea for the video that Pastor Jerry wanted to show his congregation for the Biblical Preaching class that we will be teaching June 8th - 10th at Calvary Livingwater. If you are interested in attending, we will be teaching how to give a Biblical Devotion. The classes will be from 7pm to 9pm. The first hour will be instruction with the second hour being practical application in the things that were taught. Please come and join us. Click on the video above, we hope that you like it.

World Religion Class

DSC04221

DSC04223

DSC04222

Jesse and Rose are taking a Religion class at Riverside City College. They invited Pastor Tom to come and speak at their class. It was a blessing to be able to share Okinawa culture and how many Okinawan's are into Ancestor Worship. He spoke about the Okinawan Japanese and the hope that they can have through Jesus Christ.

First Touch

DSC04219

Joanna finally got to hold Jon and Lina's baby girl. Isn't she beautiful! Micah and Cisco were in charge of babysitting, so we came by to see them and the baby. Don't worry folks, Micah won't let Cisco feed the baby any hamburgers, at least for a few weeks.

Who is this guy?

DSC04217

That is right! It is Rico! Brother Rico was the first guy to travel with Rick and I to Okinawa on our first trip. That was back in 2000. It was great seeing him again, he is looking good. How many of you back in Okinawa remember him? It was a long time ago.

We made it to California

DSC04214

This was the last leg of our trip. We were blessed with tv screens to watch movies on the way to Cali. We did not watch much, we mostly slept. It was a fast trip. The time flew by.

Ginowan Youth

Youth_Group

This Friday night, Tom Cotton took some of the youth out for a special evening. The went to see the first showing of the "Chronicles of Narnia" the new release. It looks like they had a great time, but who is that big buy on the left? It is John Connolly! He also joined in for a great night.
