Back in Okinawa

DSC08881We made it back home safe from California. We want to thank everyone for the blessings that they gave to us in so many ways. The fellowship was a blessing, but it is now time to get back to work at home. We are looking forward to a great semester with the new students and we appreciate all of your prayers. We love you all and God bless you!

Taipei, Taiwan

taipei101We arrived safely to Taipei, waiting for our next flight to Okinawa. Even though the flight from LAX was 14 hours, it went fast. Joel Coronado was on the same flight as well as Joanna Bessman. It was a good flight, Praise God!

A Whole Lot of Luggage

DSC08875 DSC08878 As you can see with Ms. Happy (Michal) we have a lot of luggage that we are bringing back to Okinawa. There are always things that we need to bring back to Okinawa for ministry. We were over the weight limit on a few of our bags but God have us grace and they did not charge us extra for the pounds. Praise the Lord, Okinawa here we come back home!

Leaving LA

jfjf

Well, it is time to leave California. We were so blessed with the Avila family giving us a ride to the airport. Thank you Karolina for allowing us to use your van, it was absolutely a blessing to us. God continued to keep the van running strong, even though we all know that it has a lot of miles on it and a lot of history. Thank you Jesus!

Cold in Korea

IMG_1907Check out John Michael with the snow on the ground. He have been in Korea a little over a month now, and is doing great. We miss this guy, but he is doing a lot of ministry in Daejeon. God bless you John Michael, be blessed bro.

November 16th, 2004

DSC00148-1

A brother was recently blessed by the Lord and I encouraged him to blog his experience and he will be able to look back on what the Lord did for them. As I was thinking about their blessing, it reminded me of the blessing the Lord gave us over 5 years ago when we first came to Okinawa. We need a computer and someone blessed us with one, it was not anything super, just an older computer. But when I set it up I recognized that it was the same model that we gave away in California. The Lord reminded me what He said “He would blesses us back with everything that we gave away”. Now this was not the same computer we gave away, but it was the same model. This computer meant more to me than getting a super high tech model, because it served as a reminder to remember that God was going to do all that He promised He would do in our life. God is good! He is a good God and will bless you beyond your imagination. Praise the Lord!

Ruiz’ and the Simmons’

DSC08873One last picture with Pastor Jerry and Kim as we get ready to head back to Okinawa. It was a blessing Wednesday night. I was able to teach at the Spanish Ministry for Pastor Cisco. So the English and Spanish Services go on simultaneously, one in the Sanctuary and the other in the Living Water House. Thank you Pastor Jerry and Pastor Cisco for everything!

Five Latinos and One Georgian

DSC08869Well, Royce counts; Chuck Robb fits in just fine with this group. The boyz from Living Water warmed up to this Georgian. Chuck and Yumi head back home to Okinawa tomorrow morning via a stop over in Tokyo. They had a blessed time.

Okinawa Rules!

DSC08863We ruled the School! This is not even the whole Oki group. It seems like we were the largest group at the Conference. Seriously, it was fun because our group took over the whole East side of the back section. When we went to lunch; forget it, we were a big mob. We were thinking about jumping Phil Twente or Double B into the gang, but they would of just slowed us down. Ira and Irma kept us in control corralling us back at their house. I cannot even tell you about the feast that they cooked back home. We were crashed all over the house. Rowdy in Rancho California!

The Kono’s in Kalifornia

DSC08862Halleluiah and the family arrived a few days ago and are now at the Missions Conference. They spent the last few days getting familiar with the sites and visiting Disneyland! But they are now in Murrieta attending the conference. It is a blessing being here with them.

Vegetable Car

DSC08856DSC08853 Meet Iza’s famous Mercedes Benz; it used to have a diesel engine, now it runs off of vegetable oil. I am absolutely serious! A few people have converted their diesel engines to run off of cooking oil! I know this is not a surprise to you but Ira converted the engine a few years ago going “green” to save the environment. It is totally cool, the only thing different, you get hungry driving this car, it gives off a scent of french fries or something deep fried, totally Delicious!

John Wayne Calendar

DSC08852I can’t believe it! I was so blessed with this John Wayne. Joanna always has her John Wayne in the house, now I get my own John Wayne. So whenever I need to know the John Wayne, I can check out the John Wayne on the wall and always know what John Wayne I am supposed to be doing that day. Gina and Josh Dean gave me this John Wayne for Christmas and I was John Wayned! Thank you Dean’s, this was the best Christmas John Wayne.

A Clear Vision

DSC08851I can totally see Joel doing this some day. Carrying a baby seat, looking for his car, thinking “Hey man, where is my car, I have to make my famous fried rice today and I only have 2 hours to do it. Where is my baby sitter Uncle Eder”?

Brother Abraham

Abraham B. & Tim

There are absolutely nothing but good things  that everyone can say about Abraham. He was one of those guys that the Lord has sent from Heaven. Our brother has left Okinawa and is now in New York ready to be deployed again over seas. Abraham, we love you bro and you are going be sorely missed. Even though our time with you has been short, we are all better Christians because of you and your great witness. We love you bro, Your Okinawan Family.

Rusty and Amber’s Beautiful House

Rusty-and-Amber-in-front-of-their-new-placeOur first full picture of their two story house. As you can see it is not huge but big enough for the both of them. They are such a wonderful missionary couple, we all love them. God bless you Rusty and Amber, we all love you!

Snider in Yokohama

fgndhdf

This is a great picture of Mike Snider at China Town in Yokohama. I do not know what he is doing there but it looks like he is having a great time. Please continue to pray for our brother Mike serving in Fuchu. He leads worship for Pastor Rich there in the city of Fuchu. Mike is a native of Virginia but is serving here in Japan, a great brother with a lot of vision. Put it to good work bro!

Missions Conference Murrieta 2010

The 2010 Calvary Missions Conference is on the way. It was a little different this time, usually we hear from Pastor Chuck, but as many of you know he suffered a small stroke last week so he has to rest. The Conference started out with some "rockin" worship. A true blessing.

Happy Birthday Tom Sr.

DSC08843DSC08847Today it is Pastor Tom’s dads birthday, he is 76 years old today. We had to leave the missions conference early Monday night in order to meet everyone for dinner. Tom Sr has a lot of grand children, this is just some of them.

Jesse and Spencer II

DSC08842Hi eveyone, we all know Jesse, but do you know his brother? He is attending his second semester at Murrieta but he is praying about what the Lord wants him to do next. It is great to see the brothers together.

Okinawa Alumni

DSC08839Damien is flying solo, he came from Exeter by himself this time. It was great seeing Niel and Vanessa, they are doing great. And like always, Vanessa is such a servant, she brought home made cookies from home and they were delicious! It is so great to see everyone again.

Missions Conference 2010

DSC08838The gang are all arriving. It was a blessing to see Dean, he came with some of his friends from Yucaipa. Pastor Mike is here and check out Jesse Spencer, it is a blessing to see our brothers and sisters.

Iza has left Okinawa and is now in California

dfhjmfjIza arrived safely back to California and her whole family are so glad to see her. But as you can see from the picture, Eder is not a happy camper. She is the last of the Amargo’s to leave the island. We are going to miss her very much. You have heard of the last Mohican, this is the last Amargoian. God bless you girl!

Chuck and Yumi are here

DSC08840The Robb’s arrived here safely from Georgia. Zach picked them up from the airport Sunday afternoon. Pastor Jerry graciously opened his house for them to stay the night. Monday, we all headed out to the Missions conference in Murrieta.

Big Calvary

DSC08826DSC08830DSC08834 Sunday night we took a trip out to Costa Mesa to listen to Pastor Chuck preach. But as many of you know he is recovering from a small stroke that he suffered last week. But Praise the Lord he is recovering well. Pastor Brian Broderson was teaching tonight, and we were blessed.

They Look Wonderful!

IMG_2849Hannah and Anna got a trim and a haircut. Thank you Lisa for blessing the girls. They are excited with their new look. God always fills us with His blessings.

Calvary Into the Light

DSC08825DSC08823 We were absolutely blessed to be able to minister at Alvin’s Church. They recently were blessed with their new church building. They are now located in the La Habra area. I was so excited to see their building that I forgot to get some pictures. After Church we went out to lunch and had a great time of fellowship, Praise the Lord!

New Look Hannah

fjfsjgjukfguklhgktyjryjsdg Joel’s mom came out New Year’s Day to spend some time in fellowship and to offer her service to the missionaries. She cut Hannah’s hair as well as a host of people. Hannah is donating her hair to “locks of love”. Her hair must be at least 10 inches, and then she sends it in and they use it for those who have cancer and the such and it becomes a blessing. Thank you Lisa for blessing us all, Hannah looks wonderful.

Tonaki Boyz

gjkglkgjfhsdgjfgjk Yoshua and Kazuki took a trip over to Tonaki Island for a short missions trip to encourage Izuru. It looks like they are having a great time. Praise the Lord for their faith. God is doing a good work in these boyz.

Surprise Cut

kljkyfjfsg

Recently this person got their hair cut. Who is this person? I am amazed on how this person will look. Write a comment below and tell us who you think this is? I am in suspense, who is it, who is it?

Rose Parade 2010

IMG_2786IMG_2800IMG_2770IMG_2757Anna, Sosimo, the Avila family and Tom Cotton woke up super early Friday morning and headed up to Pasadena for the 2010 Rose Parade. A real treat for people to attend. The floats, bands and movie stars pass right by them. The event is televised all day New Year’s Day. They arrived back in Corona about 2pm.

Bringing in the New Year

IMG_2754 After the talent show everyone went over to Chuck and Kay’s house to bring in the New Year. They had Menudo (Mexican beef stomach soup) and tacos. Menudo is a Mexican tradition. There were a lot of people there, a good way to bring in the New Year.

Quint Betts

DSC08822

Pastor Tommy grew up with Quint (center) in Norco. They have been friends since the 6th grade. Quint has recently been healed by the Lord from Throat Cancer. He went through a difficult time, but God graciously brought him through it. Praise the Lord!

New Year’s Eve at CC Living Water

DSC08819DSC08814There were a lot of great performers at the New Year’s Eve Talent Show at Living Water. Hannah, Michal, Cotton and Anna did a great skit. Nayeon played a beautiful recital on the Piano, it was a blessed night.

Heading Home from Nevada

DSC08811We had such a great time in Nevada. Spending time with the Mize’ and the Rodriguez’ was so great. Asa had such fun hanging out with Aaron, Ashton and Mila. He is missing his friends already. Thank you for making us feel such at home. I know that Anna and Cotton had a blessed time. Thanks for the gifts Brent, Cotton is a real commando. God bless you all!

Ministry at Calvary Sonrise

DSC08805DSC08799DSC08804It was a total blessing bring able to meet Eder’s family and church family. Meeting Eder’s sister Andrea was fun, now we can picture who Eder is talking about when he tells us stories about her. His Church family were awesome! So friendly, they really made you feel at home. We also met Eder’s Grandma, Uncle and Aunt. A real nice family, Eder is blessed!
