We had to pass over three land bridges to get to Ikei Island. The island is so beautiful, tropical and shell covered beaches. We spent the day hunting for hermit crabs, exploring small islands, and just hanging around. The day started off rainy, but then it was overcast, but that was ok. If you look at the picture to the upper right you can see the Okinawan banana spider. They get a lot bigger than that, but they are completely harmless, yuck! It was a good relaxing day for the team.
My family and I moved to Okinawa Japan after Pastoring in Corona, California for 14 years. We started the church in 1991, and have a wonderful church family back in Corona. The reason for coming to Okinawa, is that we have a vision to start a Calvary Chapel Bible College and prepare men and women for ministry all over the World. We feel totally blessed to be overseas in Japan, and believe that this is just the beginning of what God wants to do here on the Island.
