Josh and his Testimony

Today was Josh' turn to give his testimony for morning devotions. We do everything with translation. Thanks Josh for sharing your heart with us.

No Run Tuesday

It was raining so hard this morning, so I was not able to go running. But as it began to clear up this beautiful rainbow appeared, the Promise of God is sure and Amen.

Joanna heading to California

We are going to miss Joanna as she travels to the Calvary Pastor's Wives Conference. As you can see Zach is more heartbroken than Asa. Be blessed Joanna, and have a great time.

Two Good Letters

This week Asa received two good letters from his teachers. They stated that he is doing a great job and leading his classmates in study and cleanup. They follow his lead at school. Praise the Lord, we know that prayer works.

Sweet time of Worship

At the Nia just chillin and worshipping the Lord. We can sing, sit or just meditate on Jesus. No pressure, no hurry, just Jesus.

Peruvian Delight

Kevin Inka came to bless the Bible College Students again with an incredible Peruvian dinner. He makes absolutely delicious food. Thank you Kevin!

Our Good Brothers

This is the coolest picture; We have Josh and Abraham. I don't know the story behind this picture, but it was sent to me from Abraham. Josh and Christy must have hooked up with him in the Tokyo area. We miss you brothers, be blessed and you continue to serve the Lord.

Hong Kong at Night

So beautiful at night. On the star ferry heading back to Kowloon. 10 years ago HK Bay was dying, it was so dirty. Now it is teeming with life.

Neal "Missionary Re-entry"

Most missionaries return back to their homeland, but some stay the rest of their lives. "We lose more missionaries when they come back home than when on the field." Stay focused people.

Bob Caldwell from Idaho

Pastor Bob always comes with an encouraging word from the Lord. As he spoke from the Word we were challenged to bring the Gospel in a way the people from our culture can understand.

The "Star Ferry"

My good friend Tim Espinoza said "Unless you ride the Star Ferry, you have not visited Hong Kong yet". So I made sure to bring the group for a ride in Hong Kong Harbor. It was a short trip, but a fun one. Pastor Mike looks like he is enjoying himself.

Hong Kong from "The Peak"

We traveled to the top of Hong Kong Island to a place known as "the peak". From this place you can absolutely see everything. It was a beautiful sight, almost surreal. We were able to spend some time there, but then we had to head home. We have a full day of the conference tomorrow and we have to get a good night sleep. 5:30am comes early in the morning.

Old School Boat

This was a super cool picture of an old style Hong Kong boat that was floating down the river. We caught it just as it was coming by. These types of boats used to roam the oceans, one of the last of its kind.

Hannah vs. Bruce Lee

Who would win? Hannah looks pretty tough. But Bruce was the champ. This statute is located near the harbor in downtown.

Bruce Lee and the Rainbow

Can you see it? There is a perfect rainbow over Bruce's head. They say that it is a special anniversary of his death, we will see. It is a real cool statute In HK harbor.

HK Walk of Fame

This is the beginning of the movie star walk of fame. There are a lot of their movie stars that I do not know, but then their are some I do know, like Jackie Chan and Bruce Lee, very interesting.

Beautiful Day

We are getting ready to travel over to the Island. We are waiting for it to get dark because the island will light up at night.

Subway HK Style

We are traveling to HK island to go and see the sights. It should be a lot of fun. Always fun chillin out.

Durian Spikes

328

The sign said “Watch out for the Durian Spikes”. I guess they can be “nasty” if you are poked. But the spikes are not to worry about so much as the “smell” of this tropical fruit. A fruit durian is sometimes outlawed in hotels. The smell is “horrible” but I heard the taste is “delicious”! You heard it, the smell is close to “rotten eggs”. As you can see, the smell was already getting to Hannah.

Noodle Time

322

Shopping Hong Kong Style. At lunch we were set free to go and discover the city. So we went our in search for the perfect “noodles”. We found a little shop in the back streets. Hannah had Joanna’s favorite a type of Doria. While the rest of us noodled out. There was a lot of shops in the back alleys and Hannah got some good “stuff”. It started to rain, but that did not hold us back. The hunting begins tonight, a visit to Hong Kong Island.

Hong Kong Conference

321It is a blessed group of people this year who have gathered to Hong Kong for the CCMissions Conference. We have a great group of speakers lined up for the event. There were some new faces and old familiar faces. It has been a year since we have seen some of these brothers and sisters, it is a blessing to be here.

This is Old School Hong Kong Shopping

DSC07275 DSC07276There is “new shopping” and “old school shopping”, Temple street in HK is some old school. The venders are out in the streets, but you can get some good deals. It was fun chilling with Daniel, getting some good deals and just having some fun.

Memorial Peace Park

IMG_0095 (2) IMG_0100 (2)The interns took the students on a Cultural Day down South to Memorial Peace Park and Himeyuri Monument. It looks like a great time and the weather looks spectacular. It would have been fun to be with them. God bless you students.

Hong Kong Arrival

It is quite amazing! We are on the city bus and its full connected to wifi service. This is a picture of the future. We will always be connected. It is really nice, I am not only able to post from the bus but check our route to Kowloon.

Landed Safely in Taiwan

Taiwan Airport has this sweet new area with wifi, small movie theater (with massage chairs) and nice computers. It makes waiting in the airport "not to bad".

First Stop; Taiwan

We have a short layover in Taipei, then off to Hong Kong. China Airlines main hub is in Taiwan. One of the good things about China Airlines is that their frequent flier miles allow you to fly all over Asia cheaply. That is good news for us.

Hong Kong Bound!

Today Hannah and I are heading to HK to the CC Missions Conference. Daniel Sedota and us will be leading in worship. Please pray for safe flights and good ministry time.
