It is warming up on Okinawa

This year is already getting hot. I have been used to the cooler weather the past few years but come what may; To God be the Glory!

Sister Naokosan

It was great hanging out with Toki, Zach and Naoko. Last night Zach and I took Naoko out for dinner (local Chinese chain in Tokyo). I told her that we were talking her out for our Japanese Family in Okinawa. So we took her out in your honor. We had a blessed time.

Mission Accomplished!

Two more bunk beds completed. All major construction is now done. We are now ready for SOS students and the coming fall semester Bible College Students.

Catcha!

Joel is actually eating some sweets! He hardly ever eats cake but I caught him and Keegan Chowin down. But in all fairness, it was really good!

CCOkinawa Celebrates 10 Year's of Ministry

They say that "Time flies when you are having fun". That is so true here in Okinawa. As we serve the Lord time continues to "fly by". It has been 10 years of ministry here on the Island for Pastor Rick and his family. To God be the Glory, great things He has done. Congraduations Barnett family and CCO.

Good Shanghai Breakfast

My family are getting used to Chinese Breakfasts. Fried rice, vegetables, boiled eggs, dumplings, you name it. Good fellowship time.

Morning Run

You see the best things getting up early in the morning and hitting the streets. As I ran I made my way to the outdoor market. It was amazing! A vender sold a live rooster and dipped it in boiling water, he pulled it out, defeathered it, gutted and sent it on its way with the purchaser. Meat, vegetables, and goods were sold everywhere. I finished training in the park.

Safe in Shanghai!

We flew 13 hours LAX to PVG. We left LAX at 1:30pm Wednesday and arrived 5:30pm Thursday evening (you loose a day). We checked into our hotel in Shanghai and I headed to the street venders for our dinner. Custom made fried rice, it was delicious! The cost; $1.75 for a big bowl.

My Birthday Cake!

My daughters picked out my birthday cake. They wanted an ice cream cake so there you go, that is what I got. No discussion just "go with it". I was not disappointed.

Grandma Breakfast

This is what Zach and I miss the most about staying at my mom's house; Grandma's breakfast. Jesse was blown away, he was grubbing down.

Saying Goodbye to the Douville's

We had such a blessed time with Pastor Dion and Cindy. The church is growing well, the people were such a blessing. God is so good! Thank you Jesus for a blessed time.

Aya's Country Home

This is the home that Aya will be staying at for the next month here in Idaho. The home of Terri and Tom the Cowboy. It is a beautiful ranch home right across the street from Richard and Kim. She is in good hands.

Father's Day River Picnic

Pastor Dion blessed us with a great Father's day picnic at the Snake River. We had Idaho big potatoes, shrimp skewers and prime rib. Can you believe it, Prime Rib! Right on the river! Aya drove a speed boat and I tried to water ski. A total blessing.

I'm Blown Away; It's 9:40pm!

It's still light. It does not get dark until at least 10pm. Crazy!

Prayer for Aya

The lady leadership at Calvary Hagerman spent some time praying for Aya and her ministry time here in Idaho. May God lead, guide and direct His servant for His Glory.

World Class Ice Cream

They do things right in Idaho. Check out this single scoop ice cream. I was blown away. Yummy!

Aya's First Car Wash

The Hagerman Youth are having a fundraiser for their upcoming youth camp. Aya got in the mix with Cindy the Pastor's wife. She had a great time.

Welcome to Idaho

Aya finally touched down in Idaho. We are so blessed to be able to come here and serve. Please pray for Aya to be led by His Spirit.

Pray for Okinawa

This is going to be a big one. Please pray for the island of Okinawa. It looks like it is going to be a category 4, which is pretty big. "May the Lord keep His people safe".

Gotta Fly by Faith

God is so cool! We started at number 6 but then we were bumped to number 16. God got us on the plane. Next stop BOISE IDAHO. Cool adventure thus far!

The Oldest Apple Tree in Washington

Washington is known for their apples. This is one old tree, the oldest out here. It is blocked off because they don't want people damaging it. It is still growing apples.

Having Fun Exploring

As we walked we saw so many things. This is an old airfield that was converted into an army air field. Really cool!

Rockin Chicken Dinner

We stopped by the Fred Meyer Store (a cross between Walmart and Home Depot) at the deli we ordered big fried chicken (the girls had roasted chicken) I ate the fried chicken in Zach's honor, he loves fried chicken! While the girls were shopping I snuck away and ate a pint of peanutbutter/butterfinger icecream. Shhhhhhhhh!

Time for a Long Walk

We walked along the Columbia River and found ourselves in the old Army base of Fort Columbia. Awesome, we were so blessed. The girls were a little sore this morning.

Beautiful View

This is Mt. Hood; can you believe it! They are still skiing in June! Below is the Columbian River, amazing!

The Adventure Continues

We rented two rooms at the Red Lion Inn. Time to see the sights around Vancouver Washington. It is located right across the River.

Our Broken Plane

We were all onboard, ready to go; then the intercom goes off and the pilot tells us that we have fuel problems. Then 20 minutes later we are told that we have to disembark off the plane. 30 minutes later we were told that the flight has been cancelled. We are stuck in Portland, or does God have a plan. To God be the Glory. We will fly out tomorrow morning. Pray for God's will.

Naha Departure

Well folks the time has come, super difficult for us but we are blessed for the Magnusen's. They have now flown out of Okinawa. We are really going to miss them. We love you Joe and Samantha. Be safe and be blessed.

Aya, Joanna and Tommy Flying Out

We are heading to Hagerman Idaho to visit the Douville's. We are blessed with the opportunity to come out and serve at CCHagermanValley. Aya will be staying back for about a month to serve longer and continue to grow in Idaho. Please pray for us to have a safe, blessed and fruitful trip.

Asa at Lego Land

Joanna's brother Michael was able to get them into Lego Land in San Diego. Asa had such a great time running around and getting crazy (he gets that from his mom). The Lord is so good. While I was at the Pastor's Conference, they were being blessed!

Prayer for the Magnussen's

Joe and Samantha are leaving the island soon, and I cannot tell you how much they are going to be missed. We love them so much and are so blessed that God has allowed them to be a part of CCGinowan. God could have led them to many other churches in Okinawa but God allowed them to be a part of this body. May the Lord bless them as they serve Him in their new venture of faith in the USA.

Kazuki Teaching at w2

We are so blessed to see Kazuki teaching the Word. God is doing a great work in many people in Okinawa and it is a privilege and an honor to be a part of His work. Good to see Keegan translating the message. I miss the people there in Ginowan.

CCLW College Crew

I took a quick shot of the College Bible Study at the Domingues' house this Monday. Rick had to work so he asked if I would speak. I was honored to serve.

Zach and Jesse

Zach is already home in Tokyo. Jesse blessed us in that he took us to the airport. Zach is already taking his own boxes of goodies. He took back a grip load of glue for Pastor Rich's daycare and a few big cooking pots for the Bible College. A lot more goodies, too much to label.

CCWatsonville's Blessed Sanctuary

God has blessed Pastor Dylan there in Watsonville. They are able to rent out a Christian Daycare Center and they give them so much freedom. Dylan also has a full time office there on the premises. They have to set up for every service but that is ok. The place is beautiful! Thank you Jesus!

Tropical Storm

Well, here comes another one; it is heading towards Taiwan, so please pray for the safety of the people in China and pray that it does not turn to Okinawa. We need the rain, but not the wind and the storm.

Surprise!

What a blessing! Zach and I were pulling out of our driveway at Grandpa's house and saw Josh Bloodworth crossing the street. We flagged him down and saw his grandma and Melissa!!!!! It was so good to see her! What a blessed surprise!

Pastor Chuck Last Session

Our last session of the Pastor's Conference in Murrieta was Pastor Chuck. He is one of the most respected men of God of our time. Such an honor to be a part of this conference. A real blessing for us all.

Boyz from Cali

You gotta love this picture of the crew. It was Hallman's idea of the picture so we are glad that we followed his lead. We have one more day left. It has been a blast!

Pastor's Perspective

Pastor Chuck was live on the air here at the Coffee House at CCBC Murrieta. It was cool seeing him answer live on the Internet. Sounds good!

Blog Mania

Check out the intensity of Pastor Tom Hallman; he is really into his blogging. Pastor Jerry is giving a deep iPad lesson to Pastor Michael. Hey, how many times can I write "Pastor" in this blog.

"The Guz"

As we call him at the Bible College. Pastor David Guzik gave us a Rockin message out of 2 Corinthians chapter 2, it was awesome.

Packed House!

There are about 1,000 Pastor's who are attending this year's CC Senior Pastor's Conference in California. This is the largest Pastor's conference that Calvary has ever had. Not everyone can fit in the dining room hall. It will be exciting.

Pastor Chuck Going Strong!

It was a blessing to hear Pastor Chuck. Even though he is going through chemotherapy he has still been teaching the Word of God strong. Please keep Pastor Chuck in your prayers. The Pastor's conference has just begun.

LivingWater Pastor's Fellowship

Pastor Jerry planned a get together for all the Pastor's who were sent from CCLivingWater. It was a blessed gathering at Harvey and Elsa's house. Praise the Lord for the great time.
