We are offering 5 classes next quarter. Acts, Genesis, Worship, Children's ministry, and Conversational Japanese. We are looking forward to the new teachers that will be assisting us this next year. NEWS FLASH!

I just got word from Regin Rodriguez that his Pastor in the Philippines recieved great news. They have recovered 3 people alive in the rubble of the Church building. You might remember as a result of the devistating Typhoon that hit their region, the whole church perished in the building. Well after 10 days they recovered 3 people alive. Praise the Lord! Continue to pray for our brothers and sisters in the Philippines. Love, Pastor Tommy

Rosie in the market place in Israel

I think that one of the best things about Israel is their fresh fruit. In Japan fresh fruit is so expensive. But in Israel you can literally get any type of fruit you want. It is a land flowing with milk and honey as the Bible says. So here is our own Rosie, and look at the size of the pomergranet in her hand (I know I spelled it wrong). If you would like to see more pictures of Rosie click to http://photos.yahoo.com/calvarychapele3missions Look on Rosie's photos. Remember to keep our dear sister in your prayers and also all the rest of the students as they finish up this semester of school. Mike Harrington the director of CCBC Jerusalem asks that you also pray for the recent converts that have been saved as a direct result of their ministy in Israel. Posted by Hello Pastor Tommy

Michal in OCSI Christmas Pagent

Michal Ruiz was honored with playing the part of Mary in the Christmas Pagent as OCSI. The kids did a great job, this was the best Children's Christmas play that I have ever seen. Everyone who was there was blessed. It was awesome to see all the hard work of the children, as they have been preparing at the school for the last 2 months. The teachers, staff and director Mrs. Yi did a fabulous job. If you would like to see more pictures please click on to http://photos.yahoo.com/calvarychapele3missions and look at the photo album named OCSI Christmas Play. Posted by Hello Pastor Tommy

Team ministers at Shuri Jr. high school

Tuesday afternoon a team from CCOkinawa, and OCSI were invited to Shuri Jr. high school to minister the Christmas story. Some of you might remember Shawn Shavers, he was the former Chaplain at OCSI, now he is a teacher at this Jr. High. So he invited us to sing some Christmas carols, a Christmas play and to share the Gospel with the youth. It is incredible at a Japanese school, each classroom has at least 40 students. There are a total of 1000 jr. highers in this school. They eat lunch together in their rooms, and there are no janitors in Japanese schools, the students after lunch, clean, mop and do all janitorial work. We were blessed. If you would like, you can turn to our yahoo photos and check out a day in the life of ministry here in Okinawa. http://photos.yahoo.com/calvarychapele3missions look at the pictures labeled: Shuri Jr. high school Posted by Hello

Pray for Philippines, Tyhoon destroys Villages

Please pray for the Philippines. Regin Rodriguez who works with me at OCSI, recieved a phone call from his pastor back in the Philippines. His pastor stated that their sister church was hit hard by the typhoon. He was trying to contact the pastor in the hard hit area by phone, but could not. So he decided to try to get there himself. As he was on the way, it was impossible to get to the village because the roads were washed away by mudslides. He had to abandon the car and walk there by foot. It took almost 5 hours. When he reached his destination he was informed that the whole church died in the church building. A mud slide washed the whole building away. The Pastor, his wife, children, and congregation died. 30 Christians died and 100 people total lost thier lives in the building. You can turn to my yahoo pictues to see other photos of the devistated area. http://photos.yahoo.com/calvarychapele3missions Here in Okinawa we will be sending a love offering to help. If you are interested in helping financially, you can contact CClivingwater at (909)272-4484, that is in Corona, California. Posted by HelloPastor Tommy

Prayer requests

As the year comes to a close, we have been here in Okinawa now about 5 months. The Lord has been doing a great work over here and we have just begun to tap into what God wants to do. So we would be so blessed if you would lift up these needs to the Lord.

1. CCBC Okinawa - as we will begin our winter semester, for the teachers and the students who will be taking the courses that year.
2. For all the Calvary Missionaries here - for direction, guidance and leading of the Holy Spirit in our lives.
3. Okinawa Christian School International (OCSI) - the school where Tommy Ruiz is a Chaplain, that as the winter semester begins there would be a fresh wind of God's Spirit there, to lead all of the faculty and students. For a fresh Bible teaching schedule, Missions work, Purity retreat, and Spiritual Emphasis week in April.
4. The green house located above Pastor Tommy's house to be turned into an evening english classroom (gogo eigo) to reachout to the Japanese Nationals.
5. For Christmas vacation - Pastor Rick and his family, Pastor Tommy and his family, Tim Newell who will be heading back to Cali for family time, and the Missions conference.
6. Tim Newell - for God's continued guidance and for vision for 2005.

Thank you all for all your prayers. We really mean it, we can feel your prayers and are blessed by them all. We love you and God bless you.

Classes at CCBC Jerusalem

Mike from CCBC Jerusalem emailed me with this picture. I thought that you would be blessed like I was! He stated that things are going great and they are just finishing up there first Semester this year. Continue to pray for them as their next semester will begin in January. Pray for the students as they will be spending time away from their families back in the USA. We are so blessed to hear of the great things that are happening in Israel. Mike Harrington also states that Steve Apple in CC Tel Aviv has seen much fruit as a result of thier outreaches in that area. Praise the Lord! Posted by Hello Pastor Tommy

Pray for Direction

Will you join with us in prayer? When we rented the house the garage and this green house came with it. The vision is to turn this upstairs greenhouse into an extra room to start teaching evening english classes. Pastor Rick has a vision to start "Gogo Eigo" which means "evening english" in Japanese. So the vision is to start teaching english and call it "gogo eigo" We need to convert this into a teaching classroom so we can teach english and share the Gospel with Japanese young people. So please join us in prayer as we seek the leading of the Lord. Posted by Hello Pastor Tommy
