Do you have cold hands?

Anna's forehead is on fire! She has been rockin in the sun. She wants cold hands to help cool down her forehead. But she looks good with some new color. The new look Anna!

BonFire II

We had a fire to remember, it was blazing! Joel was warm but Anna was hot because she has a sunburn on her forehead. Tamiko is laughing because she is having a good time. A retreat to remember.

Teaching by Po'Okela

Po did the Wednesday evening service for the retreat in Tonaki. He did a great job as Tamiko translated. Everyone is have a good time. The Lord blessed the evening with great weather.

Camp Sessions

1110Right under the tent and right under the stars. We are having the sessions outside under the cool weather. The stars are out and the night is nice, a great way to study the Word. Yoshua is teaching the first session and he did a great job. We are looking forward to some great teachings. Thank you everyone.

Like they Say!

1114It is not camping with a campfire! Having a big bonfire is part of the great experience of having fun camping. So as the gang found all the wood, it was our part to make sure that it burned well. Chilling next to the beach, eating marshmallows, ahhhhh, the best!

Like a Soup Kitchen

1117It is not easy feeding 40 people outdoors, but the team makes it happen. We ate miso soup and rice this morning, Okinawan style. Thanks to Yoshua’s grandmas recipe we had our miso soup with Daikon and spam, that is right spam! It tastes delicious in miso soup. Thanks Joel, we are eating good.

Hiking Trip

1118

We took the students exploring the beautiful island of Tonaki Jima this morning. The weather was a little chilly, but then it began to heat up. It turned out to be a beautiful day with the sun shinning. It was not too hot, but actually really comfortable.

On Top of the Mountain!

1123Literally, we hiked to the top of the mountain. We were sweaty but we made it! It was a lot of fun. These guys can climb, they were really pumping it up the mountain. At the top it was literally breathtaking! So beautiful! Well, it is time to come down the mountain, time for lunch!

Another Beautiful Picture of our Campsite

1127We took over the beach! That is ok because no one else is here, we have the whole beach to ourselves. Just us, the fish, stars and the beautiful surf. We are finding a lot of beautiful shells and sea glass! Blue sea glass is rare and red sea glass is even rarer, we have not found red, but we have found a lot of blue and it is beautiful.

Tonaki Tent Time

1088

10931091We arrived safely on Tonaki Island and now it is time to set up the tents. This is where we get to see who sets up first, it is usually the girls, they just have the knack at setting things up fast. God totally blessed us with great weather and smooth sailing. The boat ride is usually rocky, but no problems at all. It was a great trip. We are having fun

Tent City

1102

Everyone did a great job of setting up the campground. You could not ask for better weather or a better camp site, right next to the water. So if you get hot, just go and take a dip. There is nothing like falling asleep to the cool sound of the ocean. Beats city life!

The Girls Won Again!

1098They are fast, so don’t mess with them. I’m telling you, the girls just have the ability to get it done, and with style. On of the fun nest things is setting up the tents, it really makes you work with everyone around you. You girls rock!

"He Man" Alex

Don’t mess with the guy from Machida! This guy is a wood finding machine. Check out his style of carrying the massive wood, right on his shoulders. You're buff Alex, keep the training up, Pastor Jeremiah is going to be jealous!

We are Doing Fine

Hi Everyone, I just wanted to drop you another note and tell you that we are doing fine here in Okinawa. We continue to pray for our brothers and sisters in Mainland Japan for safety and direction from the Holy Spirit. We have not felt any earthquakes or aftershocks from the ones in Sendai/Tokyo. There have been no threats of Tsunami's and the Bible College/Church is located high in the Ginowan hills (We always have a good breeze). The semester continues to go strong and we are beginning midterms this week. God bless you, Pastor Tommy

Pastor Tim dropped off Masaki on his way to take Ayu to Rika's bridal shower. So I had to watch Masaki for a few minutes. It tool a lot, but I was finally able to pull him away from the video for a good picture.
