Homeboyz in Tokorozawa

DSC00053Yasutomo was able to come out to Tokorozawa on Wednesday, he had a little break from school and work because of Golden week. You can see Zach sportin his wolf shirt and Stomer is getting ready for the world cup. We talked to Pastor Pancho Juarez and asked him who he was rooting for in the World Cup. He said USA first, then it would have to be Mexico. I told him that Eder would be happy to hear that.

Well Stomer, be blessed in Tokyo, study hard and take care of your sister Mariko, we miss you both very much.

The Cotton Mobile

DSC00051When Tom was working in Tokyo he was employed at CoCo Curry house. This is his delivery vehicle that he used to drive around town in. So when we saw it, Zach just had to jump in and have some fun. You have come a long way Tom, from delivering Curry to hungry stomachs to delivering the Word of God to hungry souls. God bless you Cotton!

Mariko!!!!!!!!!

DSC00044DSC00043DSC00046It was great seeing Mariko again. She is doing so good! She looks happy and blessed. I had the opportunity to lead in a few worship session and Mariko helped out with singing. She did an excellent job.

It’s Erin

DSC00041

Everyone loves Erin. It was such a blessing to see her again. Please pray for our sister, she is seeking the Lord on what God wants her to do next. There is an opportunity to head out to India to do some more missions over there. May the Lord lead, guide and direct our sister, Praise the Lord!

Oh Yeah!!!!!!

DSC00039Costco Pizza! Pastor Travis brought back two larges for anyone who was hungry. You know Rusty jumped in on this, he is one happy camper. Check out Pastor Santo’s oldest son, pray for him he might attend the Bible College in Okinawa in the near future.

Sweet Worship

DSC00032DSC00038 Pastor Travis always does an excellent job leading in worship. Everyone who lead at the conference did an excellent job! We were blessed to be able to worship together as Calvary Japan. A real sweet time in the Lord.

Pastor David Rosales

DSC00030DSC00029 Pastor Dave is from CC Chino Valley and has come to Japan many times. It was a blessing to hear him teach the Word of God again. He encouraged us on the importance of training up our leaders. He has been in the ministry almost 3 decades.

Pastor Bob Grenier

DSC00025DSC00023 Pastor Bob is a great teacher. He encouraged us in the Word of God about the Holy Spirit. The thing that most blessed me is the idea that the Holy Spirit is like an “ambulance”. The Holy Spirit is not like a police car, but an ambulance. He is not there to find out what we have done wrong and bring judgment on us, but he is like an ambulance ready to bring you relief and help in times of difficulties. The Holy Spirit is one “called along side to help”, some real good stuff.

Pastor Travis Bento

DSC00022While everyone was eating inside of the cafeteria, we were eating outside in the conference area. We were eating a “Travis Bento”. This was one of the best box lunches that we have ever ate. It was “packed” with everything! Thank you Pastor Travis, you rock!

Pastor Steve from Sapporo

DSC00020

Trevor Raichura will be joining in the work soon up North in Japan. It was a blessing to finally meet Pastor Steve in Sapporo. We have talked many times on the phone and again great to finally meet him. He is a good brother with a real heart to serve the Lord. God has great things in store for this family, including Trevor.

Welcome from Pastor Chuck

DSC00016DSC00015 This year we were given a greeting from Pastor Chuck in California. He was blessed that we were gathering for this time to hear from the Lord. Most of the Calvary’s are represented at this conference, it should be a blessed time.

Tokyo Pastors/Leaders Conference

DSC00011DSC00014 Today kicks off the beginning of the Pastors/Leaders conference in Tokyo. Pastor Chizuo welcomes all the participants who have gathered for this event. There are a lot of new and old faces, can you recognize any of them?

Lectures in Ministry

DSC00008Pastor Santo and Pastor Travis blessed the students at the Bible College by teaching at the Lectures class. These seasoned pastors were able to share with their hearts what has been going on in their churches as well as giving “godly” advice to the students, thank you men for your servant hearts.

Final Session at Calvary Naha

DSC00005DSC00003 Pastor Santo has the honor of closing out the Worship Conference at CCNaha. It was great being at Pastor Masaru’ Church. Most of the students have had the opportunity to serve here, but it was great to all be “together” worshipping in Naha City. Thank you Jesus for a great Conference!

Pastor Masaru from CCNaha

DSC09999Masaru gave a great message at the Worship Conference. It is was real blessing to hear him teach. Pastor Santo did an excellent job of translating for him. Both the English speakers as well as the Japanese speakers were all blessed with great teaching.

Pastor Tim and Ayu

DSC09996

The newest Church plant in Okinawa is being pastored by Tim Newell. At the Worship Conference Pastor Tim and Ayu shared at the workshop “Performance vs In His Presence”. They did a great job and everyone was blessed. As you well know Tim and Ayu are a part of the band “Hakugaijin”. God has been using this group all over Okinawa.

Calvary Chapel Naha Worship Team

DSC09979DSC09992 Hikari Oshiro leads the worship team at CCNaha. She does an excellent job and we at the Worship Conference were so blessed with great worship. It is always a blessing to be “ushered” into the presence of the Lord.

Calvary Worship Conference 2010

DSC09974 The Calvary Worship Conference here in Okinawa began Wednesday night the 28th of April. The first session was held at CCOkinawa and Pastor Travis Takamiya was the first speaker. It was a wonderful night and a great place to “kick off” the conference. We were all so blessed.

Interesting Restaurant

DSC09973Sometimes when you are driving in Okinawa you try new routes to see if you can get different places faster. Well, in Naha I took a different route and at a stop lights I saw this interesting picture. If you notice it is a pet store above this restaurant below. The picture on the restaurant is a big steak! I know that they do not serve pets, but it sure looks like it. I don’t think that I would ever eat at this place.
