First Tokyo Train Ride

Jake has done it many times but for Vanessa and Kyle, this is a first. They are riding like a champ. CCBCTOKYO here we come.

Arrived in Tokyo

After a few hours layover in Osaka we made it to Tokyo. Now we board the bus to Tokyo Station, then we get on two trains to the Bible College. Planes, trains and automobiles.

SOS Part One Team Heading to Tokyo

Jake, Kyle and Vanessa are heading to Tokyo to begin part 2 of SOS. The team will spend 2 weeks in Tokyo doing ministry and getting familiar with the Mainland. They will be busy with CCFuchu' VBS in full swing. Please pray for the group.

We have had a blessed team thus far. God is good! He is working through each individual person working and functioning as one group. This is really a team.

9th Year Anniversary!

Today we celebrate 9 years here in Okinawa. I can believe it! God is so faithful and He has been faithful to our whole family. Zach in Tokyo and Hannah is California. We are a blessed family. Still walking in faith.

It's Dragon Fruit Season

Kenkisan my Grandpa next door neighbor is full "Uminchu" (Okinawan Fisherman). He give me two things; ocean mini-clams and Dragon fruit (when in season). This is from his garden, they are huge and delicious! Great with yoghurt!

Vunder's son is a blessing to hang out with. He is getting big and starting to cause trouble (like his dad). Don't grow up too fast little brother.

Last Day Outing with SOS Crew

Some of them are heading to Tokyo tomorrow to continue their time up at CCBCTokyo. We leave tomorrow about 12noon. We will hit the floor running.

Waffle/Ice Cream SOS Style

We had a blast eating and fellowshipping at the cafe with the SOS Students. Thank you Michael Sandoval for blessing the students with the "goods". We were blessed!

Incredible Time at the Matsuri

We had a blessed time at the Urasoe Matsuri. The SOS crew had a blast. We were so blessed with the fellowship.

Beautiful Day in Okinawa

Today was gorgeous here in Okinawa. It was hot 88 degrees but add in the humidity. But was was so nice, a good breeze. Ahhhhhh, good Okinawa summer day.

SOS Crew up in Nago

The SOS crew are up in Nago teaching a mini VBS with CCNago. They are having a busy weekend. They are coming back home tired.

Blessed Wednesday Night

The Lord has been packing out our Wednesday Night Service. He has been multiplying the food and multiplying the people. Pastor Andrew has been teaching well. We are all blessed.

Bomb Alert

The City of Ginowan looks for unexplored ordinance (WW2 bombs) in the neighborhoods. This Sunday they will be searching and digging near the girls D House. Don't worry mom's, the girls won't be there. They can't come home until Sunday night.

SOS (Summer of Service) Ramen

Delicious Tsukemen! It is like Ramen. The noodles are on the side and you dip them in the sauce, delicious! This is Anna Hebel's favorite place. It is their 10 year Anniversary so if was half off. The line was out the door.

SOS 2013!

This a great looking group! The only one who is missing is Brianna, but she is in Tokyo. Come and join us next year as we celebrate 10 years in Okinawa: SOS "10" Year Rockin on the Rock!
