Thanks for your prayers everyone, we are now in Germany.(this is a picture of the Swiss Alps as we flew over them) The strike in Milan was wild. A few minutes before we arrived in Milan, the baggage handlers decided to strike and walked off the job. Thousands of people were stranded in the Airport. They could not get out, and flights kept coming in. People were so mad, they started to riot in line, yelling, and cursing at one another. After we got our new tickets for the next day, we were given vouchers for a hotel. When we went outside to get on the bus, people were going crazy. It was like the rapture happened. People were yelling, fighting, and pushing. We decided to get our own hotel and get on a city bus to the center of Milan. We had our tickets, and when the door opened to get on the bus, people were pushing and shoving, trying to get inside. Larry, had to use his strength and get the people back, because Takako, Megumi, and Melissa Pointer were getting crushed. Well, we all got on the bus, and to make a long story short, we got a few hours of sleep. We did not know what would happen when we arrived back to the airport the next morning.
Praise the Lord! When we got back to the airport the next morning, the strike was over, but flights were backed up everywhere. Many people never left the airport, but were stuck there all night. Thank you for your prayers, we flew out that morning, and arrived in Germany. Just one other problem, we missed our flight back to Okinawa. No problem though, they booked our flight for the next morning, and gave us a voucher with meals to spend the night in a hotel. Praise the Lord, God is so good. So, we will arrive back in Okinawa on Monday and not Sunday as originally scheduled. Oh, one more thing, our luggage got lost! So, no change of clothes. That is ok, the California team got it when they came to Israel, we got it when we went home. By the way, give me a shout out there Cali team, did you get home safe? God bless you all, Pastor Tommy
