Manna and Kodai's new house
They offically started working on Kodai's new house located right next to ours. In the photo above you can see the "gogo eigo house", and the crane across the street. The people are really cool in Okinawa. Before construction began, the owners of the new house, go house to house and give eveyone a gift ahead of time appologizing for the noise and inconviences that will occur. Then, before the cranes started, the crane company came to our house and gave us a gift, saying sorry for the noise that they will make. That is pretty awesome.
You should have seen the holes that they are drilling, and the huge poles that they are putting into the ground to support the work. They drill all the way into the core of the island to make sure that they get a strong foundation. In the smaller picture above you can see how big the crane is. The huge poles are the size of the crane and are first drilled and then, pounded into the ground, level with the dirt. That is a strong foundation! It reminded me of the Word of God, how we are to dig deep into the foundation of Christ. You might remember the story of the foolish man who built his house on the sand. The rains came and the floods came and beat on that house, and great was its fall. But the wise man, built his house on the rock, and when the typhoon's came, it stood firm, because it was built on the rock. Let's make sure guys that we build on the Rock! Jesus Christ! He is this worlds only firm foundation. Pastor Tommy
