Visit to the Shino shrine
Today, we had the opportunity to head on down south to the capital of Okinawa, Naha city. Here in Naha we visited the local beach, and then, took a trip to see the Shinto shrine. We were able to see what people do when they visit this shrine. First they come to this watering station where they wash their hands ceremonally (bottom right). Then, they come to the temple and place money in the box, clap there hands three times (to wake up the god) and offer their prayers. The Bible tells us that we can come "boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need" (Hebrews 4:16). Jesus Christ is always willing and ready to hear our prayers. The gals were just clowning in the picture, "hear no evil, see no evil, speak no evil". We had a great day.
