Bull fighting in Okinawa

We were driving home in Ginowan city and we passed this site on the way. In Okinawa Bull fighting is a big thing, but here people do not fight the bulls but the bulls fight eachother. The owners are so close to the bulls it has been said that the owners actually cry when their bulls loses. To my knowlege the bulls do not fight to the death, but one just gives up and the match is over. A few cities in Okinawa have bull fighting rings and it is a popular sport that is seasonal. One day I would like to attend one of these events. Check out the size of this beast. Close up in real life, it was huge and powerful.
