Friday we took the students out for a little sightseeing to a famous WWII war site. It is located close to the Bible College, Kakazu Ridge. This hill is very famous because during the "Battle of Okinawa" the Americans had to take this hill as they were directing their efforts south towards Naha City. On the first day of this battle, the American Forces lost 22 of 30 tanks to the Japanese army as they sent down co-ordinances from Needle Rock not too far away. Finally the American forces took this hill, but at the cost of over 2,000 Japanese soldiers lives. This hill is filled with intricate caves that connect each other all over in different directions. Vunder has been in one of these caves and he can tell you a lot more stories that I can. In the upper right picture is Jesse Spencer, he is overlooking Ginowan city. In this small area we have over 87,000 people who live here, and about 95% have never heard of the Love of Jesus Christ, we have a big job to do for the Lord.
