Okinawan Bullfighting

Bullfighting in Okinawa is a lot different than the rest of the world. In Spain the Matador fights against the bull till death. Here in Okinawa the bulls fight eachother. They lock horns until one of them gives up and runs away. The Okinawan's are passionate about their bulls. It has been reported that after a bull loses a match, sometimes the owner will break down and cry. The Bulls in Okinawa are so beautiful, they are huge and intimidating. There was a festival happening in Ishikawa and part of the festival they offer free admission to the bull fight. Otherwise the ticket to see this match would have cost us 3,000 yen (about $30.00 dollars). It was a great experience for us all.
