On the way up to Bishop California, you cannot help see the Manzanar detention center. You might be asking "what is Manzanar?" Well, during WWII in America, all of the Japanese Americans were rounded up and put in detention centers all over the United States. Many of the Japanese American citizens lost their homes, jobs and lives as the result of this terrible mistake. You can now tour the center and see what it was like during that time.
