Half the Adventure

We are installing an A/C unit in the Guys D House, but there was a certain part that we needed for an extension with the hose. We went to different places trying to find it. Finally a worker in one of the shops told us of a place that had one. I had to listen to his directions in Japanese while he wrote a map for me. It is was difficult first of all explaining the part and then having to find the new shop where it was located. This is one of the adventures that we go through here in Japan. In America you can go to the Home Depot and find everything you need. Often times in Okinawa there are nothing but specialty shops. But the good thing, I am beginning to find out where all the local construction guys buy their stuff, and I am getting the products a lot cheaper.

Don't you think it's funny that the little piece you needed looks like a cross?!?!? Jesus is the cornerstone!
