This thing is a beast! They say that the tail stands 6 stories high. This plane is designed to carry the large helicopters and many military personnel. The only larger plane in the world is built in Russia. This plane sits so low to the ground, and check out how many tires it has for landing gear. It is quite a sight to see in person.

I used to load these planes when I was stationed on Oki. The C-5 doesn't land with it's wheels this close to the ground, instead it has the capability to "squat" once it is stopped. I not only loaded them physically, but did the load plans for them as well. An aircraft can actually crash if it's load isn't balanced. It was a challenging and fun job.
God bless all who are serving on Oki, not just the military, but all of the Calvary and denominational pastors there as well.
