Aunt Ayukosan took us to eat at a real Sumo restaurant. The food is called "chanko nabe". This is what the Sumo's eat breakfast, lunch and dinner. It is real hearty, packed with protein, it was delicious! We were blessed with the opportunity to take a picture with the owner who was also a professional Sumo wrestler. He was a lot younger in the upper picture, and this is during his early times. Most Sumo's loose weight after they retire. They are "beefed up" during their competition years.
