We took the Students on a special outing to Himeyuri Memorial (Cave of the Virgins) down south. The Memorial is dedicated to the young gals who served as nurses during WWII. Many of the girls never made it through the war as the result of loosing their life. It was a good reminder of the many who sacrificed greatly through the Battle of Okinawa.
