This morning we had a devotion with the students here in Tonaki. We were in Joshua chapter 3; the portion was talking about how God wanted the Children of Israel to enter the Promised Land. The people under the leadership of Moses had their “Red Sea Experience”. But this was a new generation of people. They have heard of the great things of God, they heard about the “Red Sea”, but they have never experienced it for themselves. Well God was not going to give them a red sea, but the Jordan River experience. They were not going to live in the past, but experience God in the now. But the amazing thing is that God was not going to part the Jordan until the Levites put their foot in the river. As they “stepped out in faith” the river would part. Sometimes God wants us to “step out in faith” and get our “feet wet”. It is not until we get our feet wet the miracle is going to happen. Get your “feet wet” for Jesus and watch Him do the miracle.
