A Good Lookin Crew

Some of the Bible College Students were invited onto Camp Foster for the Youth Lock-in. They first had a special dinner at the Globe and Anchor, then they were headed to the chapel for a night of games, fun and the Word! Hopefully they will get a good night sleep, but I don't know, we will find out tomorrow.

Happy Valentine's Dinner

Everyone had so much fun at our 2nd Annual Valentines "Love Feast". Everyone brought food and we chowed down. It was so much fun playing games especially with the Japanese people. Some of them are really funny. Everyone had a blast. We feel so honored that the Lord has opened doors for us to minister to the Japanese people. Please continue to pray for us that the Lord will continually give us open doors to share the Gospel.

Bryce the Orator

Bryce did a good job this morning at devotions for the Bible College. Even though he has the record for the longest devotion (Joe Tipton used to have that record) his message was packed with Scripture. Everyone was blessed! For those of you who do not know Bryce, he came from Northern California and has quite a testamony on how the Lord got a hold of his life. It is a blessing to see what the Lord has in store for him next. When you get a chance, click on the video above and see his final conclusion of his devotion. God bless you all, Pastor Tommy

Rob's New Ride

Vunder was recently blessed with a new car. His old car was dying and someone was leaving the island, so they gave him this car. This car is called a yellow plate car in Okinawa. As you notice it has a yellow license plate. That means the engine is smaller and the road tax every year is cheaper. This car seats 4 but only has a three cylinder engine. At over 5 dollars a gallon here in Japan this car will save him money. Joanna calls it the "pink bubble gum". But what do you think we should call it? Remember guys be nice, give us a good name and write us in the comment button below.

Devotions with Fredee

It has been a blessing hearing the different testamonies of the students and how the Lord has brought them to the Bible College here in Okinawa. You can see the Hand of God upon all of the students lives. It is such a blessing and an honor to be able to minister to these students.

Masao Juice!

I must admit that the prince of the air is a clever foe
Tyrannically rulin this planet, but in the end he’ll be severed though
Hardly ever shows….his real motives, he’s a cunnin kanivin cold killer fiend
That’s why we gotta be sober, vigilant
Militant…slayin the lurkin lion with the Word of God
The serpent defeated, deceived Eve by his craftiness
Like “take a bite of this girl, it’ll give you happiness
satan likes to transform himself into somethin luminous, laced in sheep
costumes
Decievin the masses to give in
When there’s not even a hint of truth in him
Deception is the method of the disadvantaged feeble ones
Already defeated, he rages on, fueled by gallons of hate, pride kerosene
The Spirit filled Church will not be phased
They will stand steadfast, burnin fervent

“How did Satan’s attack affect the spiritual condition of the church? Not at all! The fact that Peter and John were arrested, tried, and threatened had absolutely no effect on the spiritual life of the church, for the church was still unified (Acts 4:32), magnified (4:33), and multiplied! (Acts 4:32). – Wiersbe (commentary)

Meet Masao

Masao is a good brother in the Lord. He is half Japanese and grew up learning the Nihongo language. He is also a Break dancer and has a lot in common with Pastor Tim. He gave a great testamony today in Bible College and it is so awesome to hear of the wonderful things that the Lord is doing in his life. Please pray for Masao and all that the Lord has in store for him.

Just hangin around

Literally, the guys were swingin from the trees. They were so happy to just get out looking around town. The weather has been so unusual this year. Who's talkin global warming? It's cold out in the neck of our woods, and it has not stopped raining. Except for today, it was a beautiful day in Okinawa.

Afternoon visit to Memorial Peace Park

The day turned out beautiful. It has been raining for the last two weeks, so we ventured down south to the Peace Park. This area is dedicated to remembering the Battle of Okinawa. We took some pictures, learned more about Okinawan history and visited the Memorial museum. We were blessed with our day out in town.

Many of you know Dave Kraak. He used to attend CCLivingwater but he now lives in Cordalain Idaho. You also know his wife Tammi. A few days ago he was driving at work and he suffered a massive heart attack. By the grace of God he made it through, but is on medication. The doctors say that his heart suffered greatly. We are asking you to pray to our Heavely Father for a quick and complete recovery. God is so good! He still does miracles today. We love you Dave and Tammi, God is with you both and all the family.

Schwab Chapel with Dennis Wheeler

Chaplain Dennis was the first Chaplain that I met when we first moved to Okinawa. Back then, he was stationed at Camp Futenma in Ginowan City. Well after his first deployment here, he was sent back to San Diego California where he served on a ship for two years. Well, he is back! Back on Okinawa, and we are blessed! The students were given a tour of the chapel and were taught the blessing and difficulties of being a Navy Chaplain serving in the Marine Corps. Dennis is a great brother, we are blessed to be a part of serving in his chapel.

Jason in leaving Island

Jason has been on Okinawa for some time now. He serves as a Marine on Camp Foster. He has been a blessing to many of us, and it is sad to see him go. He will be heading back to the States and then after that, only God knows. Keep putting Jesus first Jason, God has good things in store for your life.

Hallelujah is back!

It was such a blessing to have Hallelujah back from Mainland Japan. For those of you who know him, he has been up at the mainland recieving treatment for a throat ailment. It was such a blessing and a surprise to see him at the Koinonia Cafe Wednesday night. We love you bro, may the Lord continue to do a great work in your life.

Japanese Test - 100%

We can hardly believe it too. Pastor Tom is starting to learn Japanese. But really, finally. He has been here for some time now and it is about time that the Japanese language starts to become his language. Please continue to pray that that Lord blesses him with the ability to learn Japanese.

Life with Chris

This is our good buddy Chris. He is originally from NorCal (Northern California). He gave his testamony this week at Bible College devotions. We were blessed with his testamony, especially the fact that we know that the Lord has great things in store for this guy.

It's a record!

This is the most people that we have ever had in the brown party van, 12 people. Even though we have carried that many people many times to the cafe. We have never rode with more than this, it would not be safe. Three are not in the picture. Life is an adventure, be blessed.

Superbowl Monday

Here in Okinawa we do not celebrate Superbowl Sunday but because we are 17 hours ahead of California, Superbowl is on a Monday. All the Bible College students were invited to David and Liz's house for breakfast and the game. Well, Nate also baked some good pizza too. We had a wonderful time, and wasn't that game awesome!
