Mike Langley in Pakistan

Mike sent me this picture from Pakistan. It is ok to put this on e3missions, he is there on a humanitarian relief effort. Mike says that it is getting real cold, and it will be snowing soon. He misses all of us and especially the fellowship. So pray for Mike that God will continue to lead and guide him as he serves the military and Jesus Christ in this foreign country.

We have landed in Iloilo !

We have landed in Iloilo. We are so excited that God has given us the opportunity to come back to the Philippines. This will be Vunder's first time in the PI and Segmon has not been back here since 1994. We are totally blessed. Please keep us in your prayers, we are looking forward ministering alongside Pastor Mike and Calvary Chapel Iloilo.

Pastor Polycarp in Manila

Segmon, Vunder and I, were totally blessed to spend a day with Pastor Pol and his family. He is a wonderful man and he loves Jesus Christ. He is a person who is totally dedicated to Jesus Christ and the work that God wants him to do in Manila. We are having a late night snack in thier new house and sanctuary that the Lord has blessed them with. Larry Torrez know Pastor Pol well, and he can tell you some great stories. Thank you again Pastor Pol and family for allowing us to stay in your home with you. Love, Pastor Tommy

Okinawa Thanksgiving 2005

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! We just want to say to all of our friends and loved ones that we miss you and love you all. We pray that your Thanksgiving will be wonderful this year. May the Lord continue to bless you in all that you do for Him. Pictured above is Joanna taking the turkey out of the oven. In Okinawa it is almost impossible to get a hold of a turkey (or you will spend a fortune) but someone from the military blessed us with one. Today many of our brothers and sisters in Christ will be joining us for a great dinner. We will be loading up pictures from the days event so make sure that you click onto http://photos.yahoo.com/okinawathanksgiving2005 . God bless you all and remember to have a wonderful Thanksgiving. Lunch with Oba (grandma)

Today we had a beautiful surprise. One of the grandma's from around the corner came over our house for lunch. She lives alone with her son who works full time in the day. In the past we have seen her and spoken to her, but when we passed out fliers in the neighborhood for the "block party" we found out where she lived. She has invited us to come over, she stated that she gets lonely during the day because there is no one to talk with. So the other day we brought her flowers, and today, Hannah and Mical invited her to lunch and she came! She told us a lot of interesting things about her life and we were blessed. It is great to see Joanna and Hannah practice thier Japanese with Oba, they are getting good, they can understand her. Please continue to pray that we would be able to minister to all our neighbors. Pastor Tommy

CCBC Okinawa Ruth/Esther Class

We are 3/4 through the way of this Semester heading into December. The classes have been wonderful. Here in this picture Joanna is teaching her Ruth/Esther class. She has enjoyed teaching at the Bible College. Not only have her students grown, but Joanna has also grown as a teacher. Please continue to pray for us as we prepare for next semesters classes.

Ginowan Neighborhood Ourtreach

The rain didn't damper the festivities. It was a real blessing Sunday evening. We were thinking that none of our neighbor's were going to come out, but most of them did! We were blown away and blessed by the Lord. It was a great evening. Segmon and Rob did a great job by doing games for and with the kids. Upstairs at the "go go eigo house" we had face painting, a craft and coloring for the young ones. Inside we had lots of food and music. It was good, because many of our neighbor's asked questions on why we were doing this, and the Japanese believer's were able to tell them about us and our love for the Lord. We pray that this is just the beginning. reaching out to our neighbor's with Christ's love. God has given us vision on how we can weekly reachout to the kids in the neighborhood. So, thank you for all of you who came over our house and shared Jesus love with our neighbors. Please continue to pray that God would open more doors for us to share His love. If you would like to see more pictures of the evening, please click onto http://photos.yahoo.com/ginowanoutreach2005 . God bless you all. Pastor Tommy

Special event at OCJC

Today, we had the opportunity to visit Okinawa Christian Junior College. They had an open house with food and special entertainment. The college was founded by believers but the school is attended mostly by non-believers. I believe that God wants us to do ministry on the campus, but we are praying for God to open the doors that He wants us to walk through. Would you please join us in prayer that God would give us direction and favor in the eyes of the faculty. We need to be led by God's Spirit in this area.

Marine Corps Ball - Happy 230th Birthday

Wednesday night, Joanna and I were invited to the Marine Corps Ball, commemorating the 230th Anniversary of the United States Marines. It was a wonderful night. We were the guests of Derek and Souki Forbes (bottom left) and Larry and Mona Torrez (bottom right). The ceremony began with the Marines stating thier long and proud legacy. A guest high ranking officer gave a moving speech on their history, followed by music, and the ceremony of the cutting of the cake. At the end of the ceremony, dinner was served, followed by a dance. It was a real blessing to be there and be a part with our honorable service men and women. Please click on the photos for larger pictures.

Celebration next door

Yesterday evening we were invited to the neighbor's house for a celebration. Some of you might remember that our next door neighbors are buiding a new house. Well, yesterday it was completed and it was thier first night inside. So they invited us over to celebrate. In the next few weeks, they will have a huge celebration when they invite thier friends, family and all the workers who constructed the house for Sushi and lots of food. But there was another reason for inviting us over, it is Ojiisan (grandfathers) birthday, he is 85 years young. So we had sushi, chicken, fruit, vegtables, and even pizza! We sat around, talked, looked at old pictures. Ojiisan worked on Kadena Airforce base for 27 years and retired a few years ago. We were also blessed as we were given the opportunity to pray a blessing over the house. Please continue to pray for the Ruiz's, Segmon and Rob, that we would be a blessing to our neighbor's as we share the love of Jesus Christ.

Kayo bought a new guitar

It is a great day today. Kayo is stepping out in faith even more for the Lord as she has made a new commitment to learn to play for God. When you get a chance, drop an encouraging word for her in the comment department below. Gambat te ! (go for it) Kayo.

Door to Door invitation

Sunday afternoon a group of us went door to door and invited our neighbor's to next weeks "Block Party". It was kind of neat to hear that most of our neighbor's knew who we were and where we lived. (I don't know if that is good or bad, Asa can get kind of loud) Many of our neighbor's were excited about coming over our house next week. We have a lot planned. We are going to have hot dogs, Hamburgers, Music, and playing some American games. So pray for us as we prepare to show the love of Jesus next week at the "block party".

Visit to Okinawa Christian Junior College

Let me introduce to you Jason Arbogast (click the picture on the bottom left) he is a real good brother who loves the Lord. We had the opportunity to visit Okinawa Christian Junior College where he teaches english. We had a great time sharing with the students about our background and what we are doing here in Okinawa. Vunder, Zach, and Pastor Tommy spent a few hours eating lunch and talking with the students. We have been invited back to play some music this Saturday, at a festival that the school is hosting. So please continue to pray for us that God would open more doors for ministy.

Night of Worship

Sunday night we had a "Night of Worship" at Calvary Okinawa. It was a blessed night with two bands playing different worship sets. In the beginning, Pastor Rick gave a devotion followed by times of prayer between each worship teams. It is always good when the church gathers together for prayer.

Ministry at Central Baptist Church

This Sunday morning we had the opportunity to head out to Central Baptist Church and minister at thier Thanksgiving service. It was a blast, the worship team (5,000 fed) led in song, and Pastor Tommy had the opportunity to teach the morning message. Afterwards, we were treated to a wonderful Thanksgiving feast.

More picts from the Tokorozawa Pastor's Conference

Pastor Santo from CC West Tokyo sent me some more pictures of the conference. It was a blessing to have many of the Pastor's come together, seeking the Lord and praying for Japan. There was a real unity coming together to be taught from the Pastor's from Hawaii, and we look forward to the next time we meet together.

Hallman's in Virgina

Such a blessing to see that Tom, Jeanne and the boys are doing great in Virginia. They took the afternoon off and visited a place called "Waller Mill" to see the beautiful trees and leaves as they turn different colors. Pastor Tom said that the weather is now in the 70's and it is so wonderful. Continue to pray for the Hallman's as they faithfully serve the Lord in Virginia. If you would like to see more on thier website. Click the link on your right labled CC Colonial Williamsburg.
