At the same time the Epic waves appeared on the North Shore, a few days later began the “Billabong Pipeline Masters” competition. Almost perfect timing for the world’s surfers to be here. It was like getting a “two for one” coupon. There are so many people who come out for this event. It is a real buzz for the locals, people even taking time off of work to come and be a part of the festivities. Amazing!
